1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website, scheduling services, or engaging Steel Hammer Home Repair LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") for any services, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

Steel Hammer Home Repair LLC provides residential and commercial handyman services including but not limited to:

  • General repairs and maintenance
  • Carpentry work
  • Plumbing repairs
  • Electrical work (where licensed)
  • Painting and drywall
  • Installation services
  • Other home improvement services as agreed upon

3. Estimates and Pricing

3.1 Estimates: All estimates are valid for 30 days from the date provided unless otherwise specified. Estimates are based on visual inspection and customer description of work needed.

3.2 Pricing: Final pricing may vary from estimates if additional work, materials, or unforeseen complications arise. Any changes exceeding 15% of the original estimate will be discussed and approved by the customer before proceeding.

3.3 Payment Terms:

  • Payment is due upon completion of work unless other arrangements are made in writing
  • We accept cash, check, and major credit cards
  • A service fee may apply for returned checks
  • Past due accounts may be subject to a 1.5% monthly service charge

4. Scheduling and Cancellation

4.1 Scheduling: Service appointments are scheduled based on availability. We will make reasonable efforts to arrive within agreed time windows.

4.2 Cancellation: Customers may cancel or reschedule appointments with at least 24 hours notice. Same-day cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee.

4.3 Access: Customer must provide reasonable access to work areas. If access is denied or delayed, additional charges may apply.

5. Materials and Permits

5.1 Materials: Unless otherwise agreed, customer is responsible for purchasing materials. We can purchase materials on customer's behalf with advance payment.

5.2 Permits: Customer is responsible for obtaining necessary permits. We will advise when permits may be required but make no guarantee that permits will not be needed.

6. Warranty and Liability

6.1 Workmanship Warranty: We warrant our workmanship for 90 days from completion date. This warranty covers defects in our work but does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or damage from other causes.

6.2 Materials Warranty: Materials are covered by manufacturer warranties only. We do not warrant materials purchased by customer.

6.3 Limitation of Liability: Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

6.4 Insurance: We maintain general liability insurance. Customer should verify their homeowner's/property insurance covers work performed.

7. Customer Responsibilities

7.1 Provide accurate information about work needed and property conditions7.2 Ensure safe working conditions and disclose known hazards7.3 Remove or protect valuable items in work areas7.4 Provide reasonable access to utilities (water, electricity) as needed7.5 Obtain necessary permits where required7.6 Make timely payment per agreed terms

8. Safety and Compliance

8.1 All work will be performed in accordance with applicable building codes and safety standards to the best of our ability.

8.2 Customer acknowledges that some repairs may reveal additional issues requiring further work or professional consultation.

8.3 We reserve the right to refuse work that appears unsafe or beyond our capabilities.

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 Communication: We encourage direct communication to resolve any concerns promptly.

9.2 Mediation: Any disputes shall first be submitted to mediation through a mutually agreed mediator.

9.3 Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of New York without regard to conflict of law principles.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Steel Hammer Home Repair LLC and protected by copyright laws.

11. Privacy and Data

11.1 We collect only necessary information to provide services and communicate with customers.

11.2 Customer information will not be shared with third parties except as necessary to complete services or as required by law.

11.3 We may use customer information to send service updates, promotional materials, or request feedback.

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or inability to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including weather, natural disasters, labor disputes, or government restrictions.

13. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14. Modifications

These terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any modifications.

15. Independent Contractor

Steel Hammer Home Repair LLC is an independent contractor. No employment, partnership, or agency relationship is created by these terms or the provision of services.

16. Entire Agreement

These terms, along with any written service agreements, constitute the entire agreement between parties and supersede all prior communications or agreements.
